Dr. Joseph Ortenberg is a board certified preventive cardiologist who practices in Fort Worth Texas. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering and mathematics from Vanderbilt University. His medical education was completed at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He trained in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, then completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Ortenberg is the recipient of numerous research awards and prizes, including the John Herr Musser Memorial Prize and the Nicholas R. Diluzio Award in Physiology. He is the author of six original abstracts and research articles.
Dr. Ortenberg joined Consultants in Cardiology in 1999. His clinical interests include general and nuclear cardiology, as well as transesophageal echocardiography. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
