Dr. Doan has been a member of the Heart Center Of North Texas since 2011. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He subsequently completed a MD/MBA degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine in 2004. Following 3 years of Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Texas – Houston Medical school, Dr. Doan pursued his General Cardiovascular and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. He served as Chief Cardiology Fellow from 2009-2010.
He is board certified in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, general and interventional cardiology. Dr. Doan is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Doan performs heart catheterizations via the radial artery approach, which is much more comfortable for patients and is clinically proven to bring a better outcome by having a lower bleeding complication rate comparing to the traditional femoral approach. He participates in clinical trials involving coronary and peripheral interventions.
